Open call for Participation
The call is addressed to anyone (visual artists, architects, actors, directors, musicians, photographers, writers, poets, to theorists -sociologists, anthropologists, art theorists etc- to groups, collectives, cultural institutions) and all those who believe that they can contribute with their participation to the Reconstruction of the city.

The "Reconstruction Plan" is a platform initiated by a group of art theorists and historians, architects, sociologists and artists that is being constantly extended to include as many different people as possible, with the aim to form a "Reconstruction Community"; it is about a quest of synthesis through dialogue and collective action.

The starting point has been the rethinking of the actual scene of Athens as a contemporary metropolis. With regard to the notion of "reconstruction", associations with architecture, history, politics, are always taken into consideration, provided that this is not in a restrictive sense. The use of the term "reconstruction" can also be viewed as a reflective and active critique on the existing reality, a critique that draws on apparent reversals such as the shift from political culture to cultural policy, the passing from the defence of difference to the dispersion of subject and space, from individuality to the apotheosis of the ephemeral and from the loss of revolutionary spirit to life style reaction.
